Why not just work it out per square metre?
Because that is not how the material is sold. Carpet and turf come off a fixed-width roll, so you pay for the full width of every cut. Flooring comes in whole packs, tiles in whole boxes. A square-metre figure under-orders every one of those, and you find out on install day.
Do I have to use your prices?
No. There is no catalogue. You enter the products you actually buy, the pack sizes your supplier ships, and the rates you charge. Setoutly does the geometry and the arithmetic, and shows you every number it used.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It is built to be used standing in the room with a tape in your other hand. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app.
Is this a quoting and invoicing system?
No, and it is not trying to be. It does the measuring and the material takeoff, then gives you a quote you can print or send. If you already run Tradify or ServiceM8 for scheduling and invoicing, keep them.
What happens after the free trial?
Seven days, all features, no card needed. After that the launch price is $19 a month or $190 a year. If you do not subscribe, the planner locks until you do. Jobs already saved in that browser remain on the device.
Can I trust the numbers?
Check them. Every line shows what the job needs, what you have to buy and what is left over, so you can follow the arithmetic. The layout engine came out of a turf planner that has been quoting real jobs, and the geometry is covered by an automated test suite. Manufacturer coverage rates and installation rules are still yours to confirm.
